Duval County Urban Systemic Initiative (USI) Workshop
Middle and High School Science Teachers
June 29th, 1999

The workshop consisted of a presentation and the protein crystal growing lab activity.  It was part of a one week Earth/Space Science Workshop taught  by USI teachers. Workshop participants consisted of  a  group of middle and high school science teachers.

Some very nice colored protein crystals were produced!
This was our first attempt to use food coloring to identify crystals by the % of salt used in each of the lysozyme solution samples.  Some very nice yellow, blue, red, and green crystals were produced!
